Embark on a magical journey into the world of crochet with 'Stitch Stars: Kids' Crochet Discovery Course'! 

Starting September 2024, this 6-weekend adventure will transform young crafters aged 7-15 into confident crochet artists. From creating cozy scarves with just their fingers to mastering the art of bringing adorable strawberries and beautiful flowers to life with hooks and yarn, our budding Stitch Stars will unlock their creativity and learn skills that last a lifetime.

Led by experienced instructors in a fun, supportive environment, each two-hour session is packed with hands-on learning, colorful materials, and exciting projects to take home.

Watch your child's eyes light up as they discover the joy of turning simple strings into wonderful, wearable art.

Lesson 1: Introduction to Crochet - Finger Crochet Scarf

Learning Contents:

• Introduction to crochet and its history

• Basic crochet terms and concepts

• Finger crochet technique

• How to start and finish a project

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand basic crochet concepts

• Create a finger-crocheted scarf

• Gain confidence in manipulating yarn and completing a project

Lesson 2: Foundation Techniques - Chain Stitch and Single Crochet

Learning Contents:

• Introduction to crochet hooks and how to hold them

• Making a slip knot

• Chain stitch technique

• Single crochet stitch

• How to count stitches and rows

• Correctly hold a crochet hook

• Create a foundation chain

• Perform single crochet stitches

• Start a simple project (e.g., a coaster or small washcloth)

Lesson 3: Shaping Techniques - Magic Ring, Increasing, and Decreasing
